This might be fun
I was going to post something here, but I couldn't think of anything interesting to say. So I typed this instead.
Anyway, everyone who reads this should list three books and albums that they really like a lot that they want to share with others (try to pick stuff that people might not know about, like not Piper or The Beatles). That would be fun. Mine are:
Albums:
1) Toad the Wet Sprocket - "Coil"
2) Rufus Wainright - "Want Two"
3) Augustana - "All the Stars and Boulevards"
Books:
1) "The Brothers Karamozov" - Fyodor Dostoevsky
2) "Chaos: Making a New Science" - James Gleick (dorky, but fascinating)
3) "A Severe Mercy" - Sheldon Vanauken (this book made me cry)
Ok, this is a good idea. Everyone should participate.

Abe, also there was a book I read for class called Interdisciplinarity by Joe Moran, and I thought of you the whole time. It's not exactly light reading, but I really think you would enjoy it. He talks about the interrelatedness of the sciences with the humanities, particularly literature, and how all that should be approached in higher education. During the class discussion I was really wishing you, DT, and Kim could be there!
Well, let's see. I have no clue how mainstream most of my stuff is, so I'll just throw it out there...
Albums:
1.) Me Died Blue--Steven Delopoulos
2.) Beautiful Collision--Bic Runga
3.) Room Noises--Eisley
Books:
1.) Quo Vadis, by Henryk Sienkiewicz
(It made me cry. It's fiction, but every Christian should read it.)
2.) The Lottery Rose, by Irene Hunt
(also makes me cry, every time I read it)
3.) The Woman in White, by Wilkie Collins
I'm pretty sure those are the only two fiction books that have ever inspired tears. I just thought I'd add that so people wouldn't think I'm a crybaby. Hehe.
aight, i'm gonna try...
